Google adds another feature to their popular mail application, Gmail, in the form of Video and Audio chat.
Now you no longer have to open an Instant Messenger program to Voice or Audio chat with your friends and colleagues. You just need to download a small one-time-auto-install plug-in, and the rest is taken care by Gmail.

Do you use emoticons (aka smileys) in your emails? Unlike the messenger programs like MSN, mail applications don’t normally convert your smileys to images while sending the mail. The problem with that is not everyone can understand those brackets, colons and semi-colons.

Gmail guys say that they have increased the speed of their online mail application by almost 20%, but when I tried to open , I found no difference whatsoever.
