Since I run multiple sites on various servers I face lot of problems, which includes non availability of sites. Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether the problem lies with the server or with the ISP (Internet Service Provider). Downloading files from free file sharing websites like Rapidshare can be real frustrating. A file sharing site which works for your friend might not work for you. Normally what do you do? Ask your friend to upload the file to a different website.  But just imagine what if your friend sends like 5-6 different download links. At least on of those links would work…right?

Surfing the web from your mobile phone can be really frustrating, but at least guys at wikipedia have made their site 100% mobile friendly.

Now you can log on to Wapipedia.org from you mobile and surf wikipedia in a clutter-free style. The advantage of mobile friendly website is that everything is displayed in a column…yep, no more horizontal scrolling. So guys, what are you waiting for? No matter where you are, until you have a mobile with you, the world is at your fingertips.

Gmail guys say that they have increased the speed of their online mail application by almost 20%, but when I tried to open , I found no difference whatsoever.
Gmail Blog says “…One of the areas we worked on was the initial loading sequence: everything that happens behind the scenes between the time you press the “Sign in” button on the login page and the moment you land in your inbox.”

“…This is taking longer than usual – message you might see when loading Gmail over a slow connection, we’ve seen a real reduction (up to 20%) in overall load time compared to when we started.”

Internet is of no big use without a browser. I have used all kinds of browsers right from Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari to Firefox. I must say nothing to beat Firefox’s almost crash-free browsing and magical Add-ons. If you are using browsers like IE or Opera, you have no idea what you are missing.
With Firefox’s Add-ons, we can do what we thought was almost impossible. I’m so addicted to Firefox’s friendly Add-ons that I cannot surf without them. I decided to list my favorite FireFox Add-Ons.
